Re-opened 1/11/1994 when the new management took over from Bill Owens and changed the name to Fremont Brewing Company. Good food, reasonable prices and service. Brewpub-on-the-Green was the first stop on my nine-brewery 1000-mile Beer Odyssey back in 1992.

It's amber, alright. Just a little dark. No head...maybe it's the glasses here? Very faint hop aroma, not much else. Thin, fruity. Fizzier than I'd expect. Very thin. Not a Real Good beer. Their description: "Amber color. Malty flavor. Strong hop aroma."

Deep amber, good head. Rich crystal malt aroma. Strong flowery hops behind that. Seriously hopped. Long-lasting bitter finish is intense but not unpleasant. Some astringency in finish. Full body. Crystal malt isn't as obvious in taste as in aroma. Good beer! Special brew for 4th of July. -

Nice light amber, good head. Flowery aroma, slightly chocolatey. Quite bitter. Heavy but not too thick. Pretty good beer. Very strong. 6.7% alcohol.
