I prefer to drink Berliner Weisse ohne Schuß, despite the Berliner tradition as explained by Joe Andranian:

I didn't see in your review that you added a shot of Woodruff or Raspberry syrup to your Weisse. Berliners almost never drink it unless it has been sweetened, and both Kindl and Schultheiss sell pre-mixed Weisse in cans. It's really a summer drink (low alcohol content, intended to be mixed-- almost like a substitute for lemonade, and you do see kids drinking it on occasion).

      The label says "best before end 0307", but it doesn't seem all that fresh.

      Pale golden, high carbonation, good head. Citrusy aroma, faintly skunky. Light body, massively fizzy, pleasantly sour. This bottle tastes just a little old, although it's dated "06/2003".

      Pale, high carbonation, thick head. Sour, yeasty, apple aroma. Tastes like cider. Medium body, very sour, very high carbonation. Apple taste, fairly sweet.
