Columbus closed their location at 476 South Front Street in 1996 and opened a new brewpub with a much larger brewery at this new location. Columbus' Ben Pridgeon points out that the only beer of his that I've tried is a contract brew that was discontinued way back in 1996...that's something that I need to rectify.

      January 1994 selection. Good white head, golden-amber, fairly sparse bubbles. Excellent aroma. Reminds me of Pilsner Urquell...malty, noble hops. Quite bitter. Sharp carbonation. Light body. Malty finish...but maybe a little sour? Straight from the refrigerator...pretty cold. Brewed by F.X.Matt in Utica NY.
