Golden, hazy, good head. Smells like bananas. Tastes like bananas and cloves. Tasty but inappropriate. Too bad...it's not a bad beer.
*Put an asterisk by this beer's score. There's some confusion over just which beer this actually was...Altbier, Dortmunder, or Weizenbock. Zip City's Kirby Shyer and I discussed it via email, but we may never know for sure:
It may have been the Weizenbock, but that's also not golden. The only match is if you had a weizenbock, were told it was alt, and wrote down golden instead of amber. Not likely!
