Pretty good range of beers available at the pub and at various beer bars throughout California. Beers distributed outside California are contracted from August Schell Brewing Company of New Ulm MN.

Directions: 101 South past Gilroy to Highway 25. Follow the signs for Hollister. Highway 25 is San Benito Street in Hollister. San Andreas Brewing is on the left side of the street.

  Red, clear, low carbonation. Good-but-short-lived head. A touch perfumey, some subtle malts. Malty flavor...a little smoky, even. Great flavors in finish. Pretty well-balanced.

Amber, low carbonation, good head. Caramel malt aroma, some spicy hops. Bitter, hoppy flavor and finish. Needs more malt, more body.

Red-amber, hazy. Good carbonation, pink head. Malty aroma, with some fruit. Way too much Tettnang flavor. Cherries are definitely an afterthought...faint in finish.

Red. (Imagine that.) Cherry aroma. (Imagine that!) A little sour, like cherry-pie cherries. Fairly astringent. A fleeting impression of cough syrup, but of course not as viscous. Actual cherry flavor fades quickly, astringency lasts too long.

Pale, moderate carbonation. Spicy Chinook nose. Thick, for a "light" beer. Chinook flavor dominates...tasty. Tettnangs are a nice touch, not overdone.

Certainly amber. A little hazy, but not enough to notice. (So why'd you bring it up?) (Shut up.) First beer with a prominent malt aroma that I've had all night. Aw jeez...get my hopes up with a great look and a nice aroma, and then give me a sour fruity beer. Doesn't really even deserve 13 points.

Yellow-amber, medium carbonation. Woodruff aroma dominant, but not overpowering. Interesting...medium body, cinnamon/nutmeg/ginger...pumpkin pie flavor. Good, but not habit-forming. Dessert beer.
